Benefits of being a soulmate
When you think of a soulmate, the first thought is a closely married couple. But that is not always the case. Soulmates are not confined to married couples. A soulmate is usually defined as a person who is perfectly suited to your temperament. There are actually, and at least, four kinds of soulmates.
4 Types of Soulmates
At a minimum, soulmates can be found in each of these categories:
- Previous or Past Life Soulmate
- Soul Partner
- Romantic Soulmate
- Companion Soulmate
Previous or Past Life Soulmate
Steeped in Eastern philosophy, a soulmate here would be one that has already passed on to another world and is reincarnated. This has been the basis of much literature and many movies scripts. Which may be comforting or a bit stressful thinking your soulmate is out there but just have not met them yet.
Soul Partner
Traditionally, soul partner fills the need of close friend or romantic partner. Since this soulmate type uses the word partner, it would seem that this type may be tied contractually with each other.
Romantic Soulmate
As implied, now there is a move to a higher involvement of the physical relationship. One caveat in the romantic soulmate realm is a deep physical connection relationship without being needy or dependent. Needs are equally met though giving and selflessness.
Companion Soulmate
Platonic, life-long, non-physical are just some of the descriptive words for this type. Many of use have a companion soulmate right now.
